Buffer Solution, TISAB

Total ionic strength adjustment buffer (TISAB) is added to all samples and standards to create a uniform back ground ionic strength, which provides more accurate and reproducible ion selective electrode (ISE) measurements.

  • Specially formulated for fluoride electrodes
  • Contains 1,2-Cyclohexylene dinitrilotetraacetic acid (CDTA) to prevent aluminum interference
  • Used for ISE analysis with Thermo Scientific Orion Fluoride Electrode

Iodine Solution, 0.1N

Titrant for oxidation-reduction reactions.

Iodine Solution, Wijs

For determination of iodine absorption number in fats. Approximately 0.22N solution in glacial acetic acid.

In oxidation-reduction reactions, potassium iodide solution liberates iodine, which is titrated with thiosulfate solution (volumetric standard) using starch as an indicator.
