The silica-based stationary phase features a hydrophobic alkyl chain with an ionizable terminus that provides both hydrophobic reversed-phase and weak anion-exchange properties. This unique chemistry produces a multimode separation mechanism for simultaneous separation of acidic, basic, and neutral molecules.
