Spectrum™ Chemical Acesulfame Potassium, NF is a white crystallized powder and is a sugar substitute that has no calories. It is 200 times sweeter than sugar and stable under heat and used commercially as a sweetener in baking and in products that need to have a long shelf life. It is also used in combination with other sweeteners in carbonated drinks and is typically used as the main sweetening agent in pharmaceutical products. The NF grade indicates it is graded suitable for personal care, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications. All Spectrum Chemical NF grade products are manufactured, packaged and stored under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) per 21CFR part 211 in FDA registered and inspected facilities.
