Determine quantity of alanine aminotransferase in serum in vitro with Thermo Scientific™ ALT/GPT Reagent.

ALT is found primarily in the liver and kidneys. Increased levels of ALT are generally a result of liver disease associated with some degree of hepatic necrosis such as cirrhosis, carcinoma, viral or toxic hepatitis and obstructive jaundice. Slight to moderate elevations have been observed after administration of medications such as NSAIDS, antibiotics, antiepileptic drugs, statins or opiates.
  • Reagent is suitable for manual use or on automated clinical chemistry analyzers and offers the laboratory a 50-day reconstituted stability and no more wasted reagents.
  • Applications for a wide range of automated analyzers are available on request.
