ABCG1 Chicken anti-Human, Polyclonal, Invitrogen™
Chicken Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA19535
PA1-9535 detects ABCG1 in human samples. PA1-9535 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot, PA1-9535 detects a 53 kDa protein representing ABCG1. PA1-9535 immunogen is a purified recombit ABCG1 corresponding to the chromosome 21 gene (Human).ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter genes are involved in the regulation of the amount of dietary cholesterol retained in the body. The ABC transporter ABCG1 (ABC8) is expressed on the cell surface and in intracellular compartments of cholesterol-laden macrophages and is induced in monocyte-derived macrophages during cholesterol influx mediated by acetylated low-density lipoprotein. In contrast, lipid efflux in cholesterol-laden macrophages, mediated by the cholesterol acceptor HDL(3), suppresses the expression of ABCG1.
