Description

Description

PA5-27904 targets Activin A Receptor Type IC in IHC (P) and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The PA5-27904 immunogen is recombit fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 19 and 426 of Human Activin A Receptor Type IC. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

ACVR1C is a type I receptor for the TGFB (see MIM 190180) family of signaling molecules. Upon ligand binding, type I receptors phosphorylate cytoplasmic SMAD transcription factors, which then translocate to the nucleus and interact directly with DNA or in complex with other transcription factors (Bondestam et al., 2001 [PubMed 12063393]).
