Catenin alpha-1 Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA528345
PA5-28345 targets alpha Catenin in IHC (P) and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and mouse samples. The PA5-28345 immunogen is recombit fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 511 and 906 of Human alpha Catenin. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.Alpha catenin is a member of the b-catenin family of cytosolic proteins. Alpha catenin interacts with N-cadherin and b-catenin on the cytosolic side of adherins junctions to mediate the interaction with the actin cytoskeleton. Alpha catenin is a homodimer in solution, but dissociates to form a 1:1 heterodimer with b-catenin in order to interact with cadherins. It also regulates morphological plasticity of synapses and cerebellar and hippocampal lamination during development. Alpha catenin also functions in the control of the startle modulation.
