PA1-18295 detects ATG4B from human and rat samples. PA1-18295 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and Western blot procedures. The PA1-18295 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the rather N-terminal residues of human ATG4B, conjugated to Blue Carrier Protein. The sequence is 100% conserved in mouse and rat. Reconstitute with 100 μL of distilled water.Autophagy is the process by which endogenous proteins and damaged organelles are destroyed intracellularly. This gene encodes a member of the autophagin protein family. The encoded protein is also designated as a member of the C-54 family of cysteine proteases. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
