Blooms Syndrome Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA527384
PA5-27384 targets BLM in IF, IHC (P), and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The PA5-27384 immunogen is recombit fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1235 and 1417 of Human BLM. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles. The Bloom syndrome gene product is related to the RecQ subset of DExH box-containing DNA helicases and has both DNA-stimulated ATPase and ATP-dependent DNA helicase activities. Mutations causing Bloom syndrome delete or alter helicase motifs and may disable the 3 ft.-5 ft. helicase activity. The normal protein may act to suppress inappropriate recombination.
