PA1-31315 detects BRF2 from human samples. PA1-31315 has been successfully used in Western blot applications. The PA1-31315 immunogen is: Synthetic peptide: QAARQAATSVPNPP, corresponding to C terminal amino acids 406-419 of Human BRF2. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

This gene encodes one of the multiple subunits of the RNA polymerase III transcription factor complex required for transcription of genes with promoter elements upstream of the initiation site. The product of this gene, a TFIIB-like factor, is directly recruited to the TATA-box of polymerase III small nuclear RNA gene promoters through its interaction with the TATA-binding protein.
