Myc Tag Rabbit anti-Tag, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA1981
PA1-981 detects c-Myc tagged proteins. PA1-981 has been successfully used in WB and immunofluorescence procedures to detect the presence of expressed c-Myc tagged proteins in transfected mammalian cells. PA1-981 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues C E(410) Q K L I S E E D L(419) of human c-Myc. PA1-981 immunizing peptide (PEP-035) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments. The c-myc oncogene (p62 c-myc) is involved in the control of normal cellular proliferation and differentiation. In addition, deregulated expression of c-Myc induces apoptosis in different cell types, with c-myc requiring p53 for apoptosis in many cell types. This fact indicates heterogeneous mechanisms for c-myc-induced apoptosis.
