Myc Tag Sheep anti-Tag, Polyclonal, Invitrogen™
Sheep Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA3981
PA3-981 detects c-Myc tagged proteins. PA3-981 has been successfully used in immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot procedures. By Western blot it detects a ∽41 kDa protein representing c-Myc. The PA3-981 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues M E Q K L I S E E D L G C of human c-Myc.The c-myc oncogene (p62 c-myc) is involved in the control of normal cellular proliferation and differentiation. In addition, deregulated expression of c-Myc induces apoptosis in different cell types, with c-myc requiring p53 for apoptosis in many cell types. This fact indicates heterogeneous mechanisms for c-myc-induced apoptosis.
