Description

PA1-25156 detects delta 1 Catenin from human samples. PA1-25156 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. The PA1-25156 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, conjugated to KLH, corresponding to residues 881-900 of human delta 1 Catenin (isoform 1B). Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

This gene encodes a member of the Armadillo protein family, which function in adhesion between cells and signal transduction. Multiple translation initiation codons and althernative splicing result in many different isoforms being translated. Not all of the full-length natures of the described transcript variants have been determined.
