CCR5 Goat anti-Human, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Goat Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA121627
PA1-21627 detects CCR5 in human samples. PA1-21627 has been successfully used in ELISA, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry (FFPE) and Western blot procedures. The PA1-21627 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues Y Q V S S P I Y D I N Y Y T S E P C Q K I N V K Q I A A of human. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.Receptors for the C-C chemokine family include CCR 1, CCR 2A, CCR 3, CCR 4, CCR 5 and the Duffy blood group antigen. The C-C receptors are important in the function of T cell chemotaxis and migration of phagocytic cells to sites of inflammation. The HIV receptor is composed of two molecules, the CD4 binding receptor and a co-receptor. The chemokine receptor CCR 5 is one of the co-receptors used by primary isolates of HIV-1. Extracellular domains of CCR 5 are important for HIV entry into the target cells.
