Creatine Kinase BB Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA527509
PA5-27509 targets Creatine kinase (brain) in IF, IHC (P), and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and mouse samples. The PA5-27509 immunogen is recombit fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 16 and 209 of Human Creatine kinase. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in brain as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar muscle isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. A pseudogene of this gene has been characterized.
