Description

Description

PA5-27121 targets CRFR1 in Western blot and immunohistochemistry (paraffin) applications and shows reactivity with mouse and Human samples. The PA5-27121 immunogen is synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within amino acids 53 and 147 of Human CRFR1. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor that binds neuropeptides of the corticotropin releasing hormone family that are major regulators of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal pathway. The encoded protein is essential for the activation of signal transduction pathways that regulate diverse physiological processes including stress, reproduction, immune response and obesity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
