Description

Description

PA5-27842 targets DAK in IF, IHC (P), and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The PA5-27842 immunogen is recombit fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 273 and 548 of Human DAK. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

This gene is a member of the family of dihydroxyacetone kinases, which have a protein structure distinct from other kinases. The product of this gene phosphorylates dihydroxyacetone, and also catalyzes the formation of riboflavin 4 ft.,5 ft.-phosphate (aka cyclin FMN) from FAD. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified, but the full-length nature of only one has been determined.
