Dengue Virus Type 1-4 Envelope, clone: DE-2, Invitrogen
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen MA171251
Dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever are acute febrile diseases, found in the tropics and Africa. Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. Dengue is transmitted to humans by the Aedes aegypti (rarely Aedes albopictus) mosquito, which feeds during the day.MA1-71251 may also be used in a indirect immunofluorescence assay for the detection of dengue virus antigens in infected cells. It has been tested in other ELISA formats including the dengue virus antigen capture ELISA, dengue virus IgM capture ELISA and the dengue virus IgG capture ELISA. This monoclonal antibody is not applicable for western blot immunoassays.
