Rabbit anti Human erythropoietin antibody reacts with erythropoietin, the principal hormone involved in the regulation of erythrocyte differentiation and the maintece of a physiological levels of circulating erythrocyte mass. It is often used as a drug to treat anemia.Erythropoietin (EPO) is a 30kDa glycoprotein hormone which is involved in the regulation of red blood cell production in the bone marrow. It is primarily secreted by the kidney and stimulates bone marrow erythropoiesis in response to hypoxia or anemia. The mature proteins from the various species are highly conserved, exhibiting greater than 80% sequence identity at the amino acid level.
