PA1-1053 detects fasting-induced adipose factor (FIAF) from rat and mouse adipose tissue. PA1-1053 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ∽50 kDa protein representing FIAF from rat adipose tissue extracts. The PA1-1053 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues C(80) Q G P K G K D A P F K D S E(94) of mouse FIAF. PA1-1053 can be used with blocking peptide PEP-178.
