Description

Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) are members of a large family of structurally related polypeptides that are potent physiological regulators of growth and differentiantion for a wide variet of cells of mesodermal, ectodermal, and endodermal origin. Four genes encoding for high affinity cell surface FGF receptors (FGFRs) have been identified: FGFR-1, FGFR-2, FGFR-3, and FGFR-4. FGFRs are members of the tyrosine kinase family of growth factor receptors. FGFR-2 is highly expressed in developing human tissues including the brain, choroids plexus, lung etc.

Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 min at room temperature. A suggested positive control is liver or breast carcinoma.
