Description

Description

PA5-27145 targets FOXO3A in immunohistochemistry (paraffing), immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot applications and shows reactivity with Human and mouse samples. The PA5-27145 immunogen is synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within amino acids 611 and 673 of Human FOXO3A. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which are characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. This gene likely functions as a trigger for apoptosis through expression of genes necessary for cell death. Translocation of this gene with the MLL gene is associated with secondary acute leukemia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been observed.
