Description

PA1-24685 detects FRS2 from human, mouse, and rat samples. PA1-24685 has been successfully used in Western blot and immunoprecipitation procedures. PA1-24685 detects a band of ~92 and 95 kDa. Positive control of rat PC-12 and human HepG2 cell lysates suggested. The PA1-24685 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, conjugated to KLH, corresponding to residues 487-505 of human FRS2alpha.

Adapter protein that links activated FGR and NGF receptors to downstream signaling pathways. Plays an important role in the activation of MAP kinases and in the phosphorylation of PIK3R1, the regulatory subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3- kinase, in response to ligand-mediated activation of FGFR1. Modulates signaling via SHC1 by competing for a common binding site on NTRK1.
