PA1-4190 detects GPR44 from human, mouse and rat samples. PA1-4190 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~66 kDa protein representing GPR44 in GPR44 transfected Jurkat cells. The PA1-4190 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues D(329) D S E L G G A G S S R R R R T S S T A(348) of human G Protein-Coupled Receptor GPR44.

CRTH2 (chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule), which is also known as the putative G protein-coupled receptor (GPR44), is expressed on Th2 cells and is a novel member of the G protein-coupled leukocyte chemoattractant receptor family, which is selectively expressed in Th2 but not Th1 lineage cells. CRTH2 is selectively expressed in vivo in an activated state of Th2 cells including allergen-responsive Th2 cells, suggesting its pivotal roles in ongoing Th2-type immune reactions.
