GHRHR Rabbit anti-Human, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA3117
PA3-117 detects GHRH-R in human samples. PA3-117 has been successfully used in Western blot, immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~40 kDa protein representing GHRH-R in human samples. In immunohistochemistry, GHRH-R immunoreactivity is predomitly localized at the plasma membrane. The PA3-117 immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 403-422 from human GHRH-R.Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) is a member of a family of peptide hormones that also includes VIP (vasoactive intestinal polypeptide) and PACAP (pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide). It is a hypothalamic peptide that binds to G-protein coupled receptors to stimulate secretion and synthesis of growth hormone (GH). GHRH receptor proteins have been identified on the plasma membrane of primary human tumor cells, and are thought to be involved in the growth of a variety of cancer cells.
