anti-Glucagon Oligoclonal, Invitrogen™
GlucagonOligoclonal antibody 710320 from Thermo Scientific™ Pierce™ specifically detects Glucagon in Human and Mouse samples, and it is validated for WB
Manufacturer: Invitrogen 710320
Glucagon is a peptide hormone secreted by alpha cells in the Islet of Langerhans of the pancreas. The peptide is synthesized as a 180 amino acid precursor which is converted to glucagon by prohormone convertase 2 (PC2). The primary role of glucagon is in gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis. It stimulates the release of glucose by converting glycogen in liver, and also maintains glucose homeostasis in coordination with insulin.
710320 detects Glucagon in Human and Mouse samples. 710320 has been successfully used in WB procedures. The immunogen for 710320 is peptide corresponding to amino acids 98-118 of human GLP-1.
