Specifically detects Glutathione S-Transferase Clone: in S. japonicum samples, and it is validated for Affinity Purification, ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Immuno Blotting

Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is commonly used as an epitope tag in generating fusion proteins. In these systems a~26kDa GST domain isolated fromS. japonicum is cloned in-frame to the gene encoding the protein of interest in the appropriate expression vector system. The resulting fusion protein can then be expressed by eitherE. coli (pGEX expression vector system) or by yeast (pYEX™ expression vector system) in a soluble form. The resulting fusion proteins may then be further purified by immunoprecipitation or affinity chromatography with GST (Ab-1) or directly analyzed by western blotting with the antibody.
