PA1-24510 detects Histamine H2 Receptor in human samples. PA1-24510 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry procedures. PA1-24510 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, KLH conjugated, corresponding to the 3rd cytoplasmic domain of human Histamine H2 Receptor. Sequence identity/similarity to Mouse: 93/100%. Rat: 93/100%. Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.

H2 Histamine Receptor stimulates adenylate cyclase activity and leads to the release of acids in the stomach. It is also involved in GI motility and intestinal secretion. Treatments for acid-peptic disorders are based on the inhibition of histamine H2 receptor activity. The 3 ft.-untranslated region may be involved in differential expression. Histamine H2 receptor has been reported to be expressed in bone marrow, brain, heart, lymph node, nose, placenta, spinal cord, and stomach. An EST has been isolated from a kidney library.
