Description

Description

PA5-28191 targets insulin degrading enzyme in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The PA5-28191 immunogen is recombit fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 90 and 379 of Human insulin degrading enzyme. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

This gene may belong to a protease family responsible for intercellular peptide signalling. Though its role in the cellular processing of insulin has not yet been defined, insulin-degrading enzyme is thought to be involved in the termination of the insulin response.
