Lipid A LPS Goat anti-Bacteria, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Goat Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA128903
PA1-28903 detects Lipid A from bacteria samples. PA1-28903 is cross-reactive with numerous members of the Enterobacteriaceae including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, E. coli O157, Salmonella enteriditis, Enterobacter aerogenes, E. hermanii, Yersinia enterocolitica and Shigella sonnei. PA1-28903 has been successfully used in immunofluorescence applications. The PA1-28903 immunogen is whole cells prep of Lipid A from E. coli O157. Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20° C or below, avoiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.LPS is chemically composed of a lipid part, which is responsible for the endotoxic activities of LPS, and a heteropolysaccharide which generally consists of an oligosaccharide, termed the core region, and, in some bacterial families, of the so-called O chain, composed of repeating oligosaccharide units. Lipid A is the glucosamine-based phospholipid which forms part of the bacterial outer membrane and anchors LPS to the surface of the bacteria.
