LOX Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Non-human primate, Porcine, Rat, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA116989
Lysyl oxidase (LOX) is an extracellular enzyme that is critical for the normal biosynthesis of collagens and elastin. LOX is synthesized as a 50kDa precursor, secreted into the extracellular matrix and subsequently proteolytically processed to a 30kDa active enzyme and an 18kDa propeptide. LOX also reverts ras-mediated transformation and its expression is down-regulated in human cancers. Most recently, the lysyl oxidase pro-peptide (LOPP) has been associated with tumor suppression, as it inhibits ras-dependent cellular transformation. This is a highly glycosylated protein and can exhibit bands at ~32 kDa, ~50kDa and ~58kDa representing the mature (secreted) form, the pro form and the glycosylated forms, respectively.Suggested positive control: MC3T3-E1 lysate.
