Description

PA1-4398 detects NABC1 in human samples. PA1-4398 has been successfully used in Western blotting procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects a ~60 kDa protein representing NABC1 in MCF-7 cell lysates. NABC1 can form dimers, which are readily detectable in MCF-7 cells. PA1-4398 immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 532-550 of human NABC1.

A novel gene, Novel Amplified in Breast Cancer-1 (NABC1) is implicated in breast cancer development. Breast tumor lines that harbor amplification of the cancer-related amplicon 2-q13.2 display high levels of the NABC1 protein compared to normal human fibroblasts or a breast cancer line that does not overexpress the NABC1 mRNA.
