PA1-4196 detects NFATc1 in human samples. NFATc1 is also known as NFAT2 or NFATc. PA1-4196 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. The PA1-4196 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues S(211) P K T T D P E E G F P R(223) of human NFATc1.

The nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NFAT) transcription complex is required for the expression of a group of proteins that coordinate the immune response. NFATc is the cytosolic component of NFAT and encoded by a separate gene. Expression of NFATc activates the interleukin (IL-2) promoter in non-T lymphocytes and is required for IL-2 gene expression.
