PA1-4198 detects NFAT2 in human samples. NFATc2 is also known as NFAT1 or NFATp. PA1-4198 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. The PA1-4198 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues A(269) S P Q R S R S P S P Q P(281) of human NFATc2.

The nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NFAT) transcription complex is required for the expression of a group of proteins that coordinate the immune response. NFATc is the cytosolic component of NFAT and encoded by a separate gene. Expression of NFATc activates the interleukin (IL-2) promoter in non-T lymphocytes and is required for IL-2 gene expression.
