Nociceptin is the ligand of the opioid receptor-like receptor (OPRL1). It may act as a transmitter in the brain by modulating nociceptive and locomotor behavior. May be involved in neuronal differentiation and development.

PA1-18311 detects Nociceptin from rat and Guinea Pig samples.PA1-18311 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry and ELISA procedures.The PA1-18311 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues C-T(139) G A R K S A R K L A N Q(151) of rat Nociceptin peptide, conjugated to diphtheria toxoid.After reconstitution, store at -20C or 4C with an appropriate antibacterial agent.Reconstitute with 100 ul of distilled water. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability.
