PTH1R Rabbit anti-Human, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA120597
PA1-20597 detects Parathyroid Hormone Rec. 1 in human samples. PA1-20597 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin) procedures. The PA1-20597 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, corresponding to the N-terminal extracellular domain of human Parathyroid Hormone Rec. 1.Parathyroid hormone receptor 1 is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family. This protein is a receptor for parathyroid hormone (PTH) and for parathyroid hormone-like hormone (PTHLH). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase and also a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Defects in this receptor are known to be the cause of Jansen ft.s metaphyseal chondrodysplasia (JMC), chondrodysplasia Blomstrand type (BOCD), as well as enchodromatosis. Parathyroid hormone receptor 1 has been reported to be expressed in bone, breast, brain, colon, GI, kidney, liver, placenta, skin, umbilical cord, and uterus.
