Description

PA1-31131 detects PDE4A from human, mouse, rabbit, rat samples. PA1-31131 has been successfully used in immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, Western blot applications. The PA1-31131 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of PDE4A (common to all PDE4A proteins). Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Cyclic nucleotides are important second messengers that regulate and mediate a number of cellular responses to extracellular signals, such as hormones, light, and neurotransmitters. Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) regulate the cellular concentrations of cyclic nucleotides and thereby play a role in signal transduction. PDE4A is a class IV cAMP-specific PDE (summary by Milatovich et al., 1994 [PubMed 8009369]).
