Phospho-CREB (Ser129, Ser133), Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA124754
This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.PA1-24754 detects CREB (phospho S129 + S133) from human and mouse samples. PA1-24754 is expected to cross react with rat (100% conserved) due to sequence homology.PA1-24754 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. The PA1-24754 immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to a portion of human CREB containing serines 129 and 133.
