Phospho-Paxillin (Tyr118) Rabbit anti-Canine, Chicken, Human, Mouse, Non-human primate, Rat, Zebrafish, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA523327
DescriptionPaxillin is a protein with four LIM domains, a proline-rich domain containing a consensus SH3-binding site, and three potential SH2-binding sites. It acts as an ERK-regulated scaffold that coordinates FAK and Rac activation in epithelial morphogenesis. Paxillin is a novel vinculin-binding protein present in focal adhesions and its isoforms in monocyte and cancer cells are known to have different binding properties to focal adhesion proteins. Paxillin binds to schwannomin and regulates its density-dependent localization and effect on cell morphology. Phosphorylation of Paxillin by JNK is known to regulate cell migration. The human Paxillin gene is localized in the chromosomal region 12q24.31.
