The amino acid sequence used as immunogen for this antibody is 100% homologous in human and rhesus monkey, 95% homologous in dog and chimpanzee, 90% homologous in pig and red deer, and 85% in buffalo and goat. IL-35 is a heterodimeric protein of p35/IL-12A and EBI3, with a molecular weight of approximately 78 kD. The recombinant IL-35 used for testing also contains a human Fc tag resulting in the approximately 100 kD size seen.
