Description

PA3-813 detects recombinant human retinoic acid receptor (RAR) gamma-1. The immunizing sequence is 100% conserved in mouse. This antibody detects RAR gamma-1, but not RAR gamma-2, or either of the alpha or beta forms of RAR. PA3-813 has been successfully used in Western blot, immunoprecipitation and gel shift procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ∽50 kDa protein representing RAR gamma-1 from transiently transfected 293T cells. PA3-813 has been shown to efficiently super shift the human RAR gamma-1/retinoid X receptor (RXR)/RAR response element complex in gel super shift experiments using a number of different response elements. PA3-813 immunizing peptide corresponds to the N-terminus of RAR gamma-1. This peptide (Cat. # PEP-228) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.
