PA1-4138 detects human SFRP5. PA1-4138 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~40 kDa protein representing human SFRP5 in pancreas lysate. The PA1-4138 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues A(25) P A R C E E Y D Y Y G W Q(38) of human SFRP5. This sequence is 92% conserved in bovine, 82% conserved in rat, and 78% conserved in mouse. Maintain at 4°C for 3 months or at -20°C for longer periods. Stable for 1 year. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.

Human secreted frizzled-related protein 5 (SFRP5), which appears to act by modulating Wnt signal transduction. Wnts have been implicated in embryonic induction, cell fate determination, control of cell polarity and maligt transformation.
