Description

PA1-24467 detects Smad6 in Human samples. PA1-24467 has been successfully used in Western Blot and immunohistochemistry (paraffin) procedures. PA1-24467 immunogen corresponds to Polyclonal antibody from rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide region of human MADH6. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Acts as a mediator of TGF-beta and BMP antiflammatory activity. Suppresses IL1R-TLR signaling through its direct interaction with PEL1, preventing NF-kappa-B activation, nuclear transport and NF-kappa-B-mediated expression of proinflammatory genes. May block the BMP-SMAD1 signaling pathway by competing with SMAD4 for receptor-activated SMAD1-binding. Binds to regulatory elements in target promoter regions.
