TRAP proteins are part of a complex whose function is to bind calcium to the ER membrane and thereby regulate the retention of ER resident proteins. SSR4. also called TRAPD. is assumed to be involved in protein secretion. It is located in the Xq28 region.

PA1-27913 detects SSR4 from human, mouse, and rat samples.PA1-27913 may be successfully used in Western blot applications. By Western blot, this antibody has only been tested on fusion protein.The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to human Translocon-associated protein subunit delta.
