SFTPD Mouse anti-Human, Clone: 16C11, Invitrogen
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen HYB2450202
Description
HYB 245-02-02 is specific for human SP-D. HYB 245-02-02 has been successfully used in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Western blot procedures. In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE, HYB 245-02 reacts strongly with SP-D, both in reduced and non-reduced forms. HYB 245-02 only reacts with SP-D in the presence of Ca++. The HYB 245-02-02 immunogen is Recombinant neck CRD SP-D. NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL
Surfactant protein D (SP-D) is synthesized and secreted by lung epithelial cells. It belongs to group III of the family of C-type lectins and members of this group has overall structure consisting of multiple globular ft.head ft. regions linked by triple-helical, collagen-like, strands. This group also includes SP-A and the serum proteins man-binding protein, conglutinin and collectin-43, all of which have been shown to bind to the C1q receptor found on a wide variety of cells. Both SP-D and SP-A have been shown to enhance oxygen radical production by alveolar macrophages. The serum concentration is 88 ng/mL in healthy individuals.Specifications
