This antibody is predicted to react with Yeast based on sequence homology. Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generating a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain. Recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

Syntaxins belong to a family of SNARE proteins. The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae has about 7 genes similar to syntaxin and there are presently 15 types of syntaxin genes in the human genome. In presence of other cytoplasmic proteins like the N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF) and SNAP; synatxins can combine various vesicular transport systems for the exocytic and endocytic pathway. This is very important for the functioning and for bringing about specificity to the vesicular combination process.. The syntaxin protein in yeast is also known as the Pep12 protein. The function of this Pep12 protein in the yeast is to transport vesicles from the Golgi apparatus.
