TLR7 Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Rat, Polyclonal, Invitrogen™

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Manufacturer:  Invitrogen PA128109

Catalog No. PIPA128109

Add to cart

PA1-28109 detects TLR7 from human samples. PA1-28109 is expected to cross-react with rat and mouse due to sequence homology (86% identity with immunogen for both species). PA1-28109 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue), flow cytometry and Western blot applications. The PA1-28109 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, conjugated to KLH, corresponding to residues L(706) S H N Q L T T V P E R L S N C S R S L K N L(728) of human TLR7. Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

TLR7 is a 1049 amino acid long highly conserved membrane protein belonging to the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family with 27 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats and a TIR domain. TLR7 plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLR7 is activated by infections with single-stranded RNA viruses, including influenza virus and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). TLR7 is predomitly expressed in lung, placenta, and spleen, and lies in close proximity to another family member, TLR8. TLR7 also acts via MyD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappaB activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. TLR7 recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity.
