Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) is a cytokine whose function is mediated through two distinct cell surface receptors (TNFR 1 and TNFR 2) that are included in the TNF receptor superfamily along with FAS antigen and CD40. Tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 and 2 (TNFR 1 and TNFR 2) are 55 and 75kDa members of a family cell surface molecules including nerve growth factor receptor, Fas/Apo1, CD30, Ox40, and 4-1BB, which are characterized by cysteine rich motifs in the extracellular domain.

PA1-21148 detects TNF receptor II in human, mouse and rat samples.PA1-21148 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin), Immunoprecipitation and Western blot procedures.The PA1-21148 immunogen is a synthetic peptide to the C-terminal region of mouse TNF receptor II protein.
