WWOX Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Polyclonal, Invitrogen
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Manufacturer: Invitrogen PA14400
PA1-4400 detects the WW domain-containing oxidoreductase (WWOX) in human and mouse samples. PA1-4400 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. PA1-4400 immunizing peptide corresponds to the peptide representing residues 89-107 of WWOX. This sequence is 100% conserved in human, mouse, chimpanzee, and orangutan.WW domain-containing oxidoreductase WWOX, also known as WOX1 or FOR, is a proapoptotic protein and a tumor suppressor gene. Because mutation or deletion in the coding region of WWOX is rarely found, it is speculated that the appearance of aberrant transcripts affects progression of many cancers. In addition, protein levels of WWOX, its Tyr33-phosphorylated form, and WOX2 are significantly down-regulated in the neurons of Alzheimer ft.s hippocampi.
