Description

Description

PA5-22128 targets XAP2 in ICC, IF, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and mouse samples. The PA5-22128 immunogen is a recombit fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1 and 330 of ARA9 (Uniprot IDNo.O00170). Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for aryl hydrocarbons and a ligand-activated transcription factor. The encoded protein is found in the cytoplasm as part of a multiprotein complex, but upon binding of ligand is transported to the nucleus. This protein can regulate the expression of many xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes. Also, the encoded protein can bind specifically to and inhibit the activity of hepatitis B virus.
